On your first visit please come 10 minutes early to fill out the appropriate paperwork. This will help us determine the areas you need worked on the most. The areas that are most problematic and contraindications from prior surgeries and medications.
Your therapist will ask you a few questions and go over your paperwork. Explain the therapy and the easiest protocol to help alleviate your pain during your session.
Everyone has different levels of pain and no two therapists are alike. Please feel free to communicate if the therapy is to much pressure or not enough pressure. This will enable your session to be more enjoyable.
We try to spoil you a bit. You are greeted with a warm flax seed pillow for your neck. Relax on the extra added foam and heated table. Your comfort is important to us.
All of the therapists understand everyone has a different pain level. If you just ran a marathon your therapy will be adjusted to your comfort level. Communication is key to your therapy session. Your therapist will ask a few times if you are comfortable and if the pressure is okay.
You might be a little light headed or sluggish for a short period of time. This will usually pass in 20 minutes. You might be sore the next day in some areas and this usually passes in 24 hours. Your therapists will have a consult with you after the session. Mild stretches you can follow up with, and sometimes we refer you back to your medical physician, or chiropractor to help you get back into the game of life!
